Nedscaper strengthens position as strategic security player with arrival of Jeremy Butcher
Amsterdam, 16-01-2024 – Jeremy Butcher, former CTO of leading cybersecurity company Fox-IT, joins cybersecurity scale-up Nedscaper today. He will be actively involved as Director of Cyber Defense.
This appointment follows shortly after Menno van der Marel, co-founder of Fox-IT, joined Nedscaper. The scale-up will use their network and expertise towards becoming a leading player, focused on making a substantive contribution to customers’ cybersecurity.
“Nedscaper is a wonderful company that is growing impressively and is full of smart and knowledgeable people who are passionate about cybersecurity. I love the phase the company is in, where the challenge is to use the deep expertise at Nedscaper to build out our services and help our customers on a higher level, all in the face of rapid growth,” Jeremy Butcher said. “Nedscaper’s link to South Africa also appeals to me, because of the opportunities it lets us offer the talented people there to grow professionally in the field of cybersecurity.”
Transition from Microsoft to strategic security player
“In the past year Nedscaper has transitioned from being a Microsoft expert to being a strategic security player specializing in Microsoft. As we continue down this path, Jeremy will be an important part of the CTO office with his broad cybersecurity knowledge and experience at organizations at the very highest level,” says Derk van der Woude, CTO at Nedscaper and the Microsoft guru who has brought the company to the very highest rank of Microsoft security partners in just two years. “Jeremy and I will be working together closely to further our transition as a company. Jeremy’s background complements my Microsoft vision and will help us break through to become a strategic cybersecurity advisor for our customers at the boardroom level.”
