Jeremy Butcher, former CTO of the cybersecurity company Fox‑IT, has joined Nedscaper. He will be actively involved as Director of Cyber Defense.
This appointment follows shortly after Menno van der Marel, co‑founder of Fox‑IT, also joined Nedscaper. Their combined expertise and professional networks will be leveraged to position Nedscaper as a leading cybersecurity player, with strong, content‑driven customer engagement at its core.
“Nedscaper is a fantastic company experiencing impressive growth, with highly skilled people who are genuinely committed to cybersecurity,” says Jeremy Butcher. “The company is at an exciting stage, where the challenge lies in continuing to build and expand our services, while leveraging the knowledge and expertise already present, to help our customers mature to the next level.
The connection Nedscaper has with South Africa also appeals to me greatly, as it creates opportunities for highly talented professionals there to further develop their careers in cybersecurity.”
Transition from Microsoft specialist to strategic security partner
“Over the past year, Nedscaper has started the transition from being a Microsoft expert to becoming a strategic cybersecurity partner, with Microsoft as a core specialization,” says Derk van der Woude, CTO at Nedscaper. Van der Woude, widely regarded as a Microsoft security authority, has led the company to the highest tier of Microsoft Security Partner status in just two years.
“In this transition, Jeremy is a key addition to our CTO office, bringing broad cybersecurity expertise and experience at the very highest organizational levels. Jeremy and I will work closely together, making his perspective a valuable complement to my Microsoft‑focused vision. As a result, Nedscaper is strengthening its position, not only as a leading Microsoft security partner, but as a strategic cybersecurity advisor, including at board-level.”
